Farmall 140 hydraulic pump question

Hi, this is my first post and I appreciate any advice given.

I have a small vegetable farm in TN and a few farmall cultivating tractors. I am trying to buy a hydraulic pump rebuild kit for one of the 140s and am having trouble figuring out which kit to buy. I've read that two types of pumps where used: Pesco and Thompson. I don't see any labeling, so how can I tell what I have?

Serial code is: 30516 J

Can anyone help?

Thank you,

Eric

Looks like by the era of the "140", they used either Cessna or PESCO.

The pumps are a bit different in construction and shape, you should be able to figure out which you have by going to the parts lookup page linked below and looking at the drawings of both pumps.

Better check the shaft on the pump to make sure there isn't a ridge or score on it. If so it will continue to leak and you'll need to repair that shaft or buy a new one. I will be able to help you and am in Alabama. Let me know.
