JD A Radiator

Is there an easy way to remove the four bolts that support the radiator on a 1951 JD A? I need to remove the radiator, but I don't want to break off the bolts. Hard to get to with a socket/wrench. Would it be ok to heat the bolts? Thanks!

While I'm not familiar with an "A" model, I have had luck with "Freeze Off" from Autozone. Mild heat and spray so it will wick into the threads, repeat several times over the course of several days. It will come loose sooner or later. Usually later. Once you get it to move, it's all going your way.

As far as access, I can't help there. It's just a matter of fiddling with it until it moves, and keep working it back and forth and spraying it until comes loose. A 50/50 mix of acetone and ATF can also help to flush the threads and wick into them, don't heat for this mix.
Rusty stuff can be a real pain when you need to preserve the parts.

Let us know how you got it loose or off.
