Manifold gasket

When putting on a new manifold gasket do you just put it on dry or do you add something to it before you install it?

I have always greased them and tighten to manufactures specs.

Put it on dry, unless you need something to keep it in place while you get evrything else lined up, and then a little dab of grease from the grease gun will do the job.

if it's all clean, I like dry.. if the block is pitte a lil.. then some high temp red, after perhaps some hi temp fill putty..
