Ford Workmaster Fuel Line Against Manifold

I have a 1960 Ford Workmaster (601 series, model 641) that is new to me. I just noticed that the metal fuel line touches the manifold as it comes down from the fuel tank (it's a gravity-feed carb.).

I've looked for pictures of other line/manifold arrangements, but haven't been able to find any that are detailed enough to show whether or not this is common, and the Workmaster owner's manual, shop manual, and parts book don't have enough detail to see this either.

The fuel line only touches the manifold in one place, but the heat of the manifold hard against a fuel line makes me a little nervous. Does anyone know if this is common, or should I either re-bend the existing line or get a new one?

Thanks in advance!

The original setup on the 641 is, at the fuel tank a shut off valve and from that a short section of rubber fuel hose (6 inch) then steel fuel line routed thru the one inch space between engine block and manifold and connected to a sediment bulb at the carb inlet. The sediment bulb will swivel on the mounting bolt to position the fuel line so it doesn't touch the manifold.

Sounds like some one replaced the factory fuel line which is common because of the rubber part of it going bad. Not good to have it touch the manifold and most that I have seen and or re-did I routed the line forward and away from the manifold. Fuel lines close to the manifold and cause boiling gas and vapor locking
