Was looking for results from past posted results .Not many tractors in the light classes and none in the heavy classes. Not sure why that is.
Wont Cubs and MH ponies pull in 2500 ?
Dont see any over. 8000much . To costly to transportation maybe
Just wondering

I used to pull 6500 7500 and 8500. Got to be where I was the only one in 8500 maybe 2 or 3 in 7500, it s no fun winning a class of 1 or 2. And yes it costs more dragging more weight around to pulls. No fun pulling at the end of the day when just about everybody has already left and gone home. I now pull 4500 5000 and 5500. Much more fun pulling with 10-20 tractors in a class even if you don t win as much.

Depends somewhat on the area that the pull is in. Like in Navarre Oh last weekend, there was a good turn out of the heavies. Mostly JD G's after 6500.

I always preferred smalls myself because for about the same money I could pull 2 tractors and still not be hauling huge loads. It was also generally easier to work on smaller stuff, at least I felt so. Another plus was we could get headed home at a reasonable hour due to being quite a way from the house lots of times. I never got why the smalls dwindled in #. gm

Around me its gotten to where the 2500 and 3000 lb classes dont have very many pullers and anything over 5500 lbs has really died in the past 2-3 years...3500,4000,4500,and 5000 lbs are the most popular classes with most being 3 mph tractors.

I started pulling deadweight with a local group in Bakersville , Ohio.
They have 5,500, 7000, 8500, 10,500 and 12,500 classes.
Didn't take a count, but it took most of the day to get through the two lighter classes and they start at 9 am.
I think they got to the 8,500 class, which is what I pull in, at about 5 pm. No shortage in #'s in our light classes.
But, NATPA is antiques and pre-60's correct (?), and we aren't limited to pre '60's stuff, so might not be apples to apples.
