Yesterday was my last hook for the 2022 pulling year..I was at the Pumpkin Patch located 1 mile south of Joplin,MO on Hwy 43..I was the first puller to arrive and promptly got stuck in the pits..Not long after about 5-6 more haulers got stuck...We have been in a bad drought but earlier in the week they had a 4.5 inch rain where the pumpkins had been harvested..They must have plowed that field earlier this year...
The light rain hit yesterday a little before 4 PM and they were still pulling on both tracks when I left at 4:30 PM...There was a huge turn out of garden tractor pullers on the west side of the track..They probably didnt make it done.
In all of my years this is the first time I've seen a camel on a pulling track used to present our flag...It was a real neat thing to see.
