Went to Cadiz ky. Last Evening, it was hot! They had two sleds. But the Faster classes Sled broke down. The truck axle that powers the box forward, sheared its bolts off in the hub. They finally got two bolts back in it and they welded it together. Then the battery ran down. Old Chevy motor on the sled wouldn't start except on ether. I felt bad for them. Finally got the Old Mean Green sled we usted to pull at Tunica. But then went back to original sled and its motor kept dyeing. We left about 12:30 Am. Got home at 3:30. They are pulling now. Starting at 10:00 Am. I'm not tough enough to go today. But there was a lot of tractors there. They were paying 400, 200, and 75. I think for king of hill classes. I never won any of it. Did get 2nd in 4700 6 mph. Blew the tires off in the 8 mph. Just out of the money. Bottom line Antique pulling is alive and well in Central Kentucky.

Its good to hear that antique pulling is alive and well in Kentucky..The heat, high fuel, etc is really hurting things in my area..Heres the turn out at the last 3 pulls in my area.

Cherokee,KS=0 tractors

Nevada,MO= 10 tractors with 30 hooks

Chetopa,KS= 15 tractors with 35 hooks

The heat and humidity was brutal today at Chetopa..I brought 4 hooks but my 101 Massey had fuel issues so I pulled my 6000 Ford twice.
SE Kansas has missed all the rains and things are burning up..I was fortunate to get 2.22 inches of rain over the weekend.

Turn out was good in MN also this weekend.
