Last Saturday I finally had my first 10500 Hot Stock hook of the year after 2 rain outs..It was at Sedalia,MO..
In the off season I had sped my pulling gear up 2 teeth and added a new GPS which I thought was fairly
accurate...I started the season off with a bang getting the big DQ for going over the speed limit...3 of us had
problems with going over the limit..We found out after the class was over that the sled had set the horn for
13 MPH in a 12.5 MPH class...None of us could even hear the horn with our helmets on...The next time out I'll
stay under 11.5 MPH or just drive by the tach like I did most of last year...I wish they'd set the horn at 12.5 MPH
at every pull..
Anyways heres the results with distances plus a video of the class..We had a nice turn out with 8 tractors..We
almost had a rain out as it rained lightly from 4 to 7:30 PM...We finally got started at 8:30 PM..
DQ-Hazel Hill Deere 337 ft (His GPS showed 12.4 to 12.6 on his hook)
DQ-Lonesome Loser (Me) 330 ft (My GPS showed 12.2 MPH)
1st-1066 IH Lipscomb 327.07 ft
2nd-Honeymoon Funds 323.08 ft (Video says 340 ft which is wrong)
3rd-All Deere'd Up 320.10 (His GPS showed 12.2 to 12.4 MPG on his first hook) He stayed under 12 MPH on his option hook..
4th-Rocket Science 317.03 (Emma Potters tractor with Dad driving)
5th-Full Rut 311.09 (The late Bruce Whites tractor that was last pulled in 2019)
6th-Hay Raker 5020 JD (A 12-13 year old kid driving the neighbors tractor in 6th gear that had sit since 2018)He's a little scared of it.
Earlier that day he had won a 1st at a brush pull in Chilhowee,MO.
