Putting a 403 in a UB Moline

Hello I have a UB moline that I'm putting a 403 power unit motor in but I'm having trouble figuring out what flywheel I will have to use. I have been told use the 403 flywheel and starter and the UB clutch but I have also been told that the UB clutch may not work on the 403 flywheel. I have also been told that the UB flywheel and clutch will work with 403 starter could anyone clarify this and get me pointed in the right direction thanks any help is greatly appreciated
 
UB is a foot clutch. Power unit is a hand clutch. No similarities. Totally different. UB flywheel uses different starter. A 403 in a hand clutch U is no problem. UB is a different animal
 
Put 403 parts in 283 (UB) crankcase. Must use 403 tall jugs as well. Other options available but that is cheapest and simplest. No custom built parts or machine work required. The 283 flywheel should bolt to 403 crankshaft
 
I will most likely just swap the parts from the 403 to my crankcase but if I use the 283 flywheel and put 403 starter ring gear on it looks like that might work I think the flywheel is the same diameter but the 403 ring gear has a bigger O.D. anyone ever went that route before sorry for all the questions this is the first moline I have ever laid my hands on thanks

One in a ub and I dont see why you couldnt put the 403 ring
Gear on ub flywheel. Might take some extra grinding in
Starter hole, but thatll be lots faster then completely
Swapping the 403 parts into a 283 case.
 
A long time ago I put a 403 in a U. 1966. I remember grinding the back edge from the 403 flywheel. And grinding a bit from the inside of the U. My motor.came from a burnt GB LP. Had M&W pistons. Made 125 hp. Had a neighbor who had a U LP with a factory 403. I worked for the Dealer. You just had to check the right boxes. Anyway I had a lot of fun with that old U. It was a terror at the pulls. Widen rims and 15.5 Firestones.
