On the fuel kill. On my JD Diesel I used a
pto cable for a truck. But on my AC I ran
a 1/4 steel rod from the pump to the
back. But since a AC runs with the kill
pulled out had to make a link that will
push rod in to kill it.

thanks . this gets me started on that end . Now to get these to function ,,,, what is at the other end ? Any help on the kill switch itself . Obviously has to be something that pulls cables several inches when activated ?

How do you kill it now. With a cable or
use the throttle. You are over thinking
it. I thought you could enlarge picture to
see linkage under seat. I could take a
better picture.

Ok I get it now . It is literally a cable attached to a ring in back . No electronics . Makes sense now . So to shut down engine I have a cable pull to stop . If I hook cable to that and run it back wouldn't I need some sort of breakaway and if so what would hold the cable in place till engine shuts down . Need original shutdown cable to work too. Thanks for your help . This is much appreciated

Here is a very crude pic. of what we do--This blast gate is what we use came from Mc Master Carr. They sell 2 in. to 18 in. gates. Small eye-bolts on bottom--springs on the side and a choke cable long enough to reach the back of the tractor to the center of the gate, Take the screw out and open the gate up until it has nothing protruding in the air passage mark it and drill a hole this where the end of the choke cable goes. Put the gate on the inlet of your turbo with the right size hose and clamps and go pulling---Tee

We use a 1/4 turn valve with a hole in the end of the lever with a coke cable to the dash--put it in the line just before your injection pump--Call this our panic button--If you have a high pressure line we put in a 3 way valve and divert the fuel back to the tank--Good Luck---Tee

Heres the guillotine air shut off on my 1466 IH puller..This is a pretty expensive set up that was on my tractor when I bought it.The cable with the wire in it goes to the
back of the tractor where the sled hooks to the ring on it..The wire sticks thru a little over 1 inch....I also have it to where I can pull it from the seat..

Heres the 3 way fuel shut off valve that I can pull from the seat...Of course I have a cable on the dash to shut fuel off or on at the pump..I run quite a bit of fuel so have
the engine turning over before I even put the fuel part way on.

Heres the ring at the back of the tractor where the sled hooks to the air shut off..The plug in beside it is for the rpm sensor which goes to the rpm box on the sled.

The black pto knob at the top is the fuel shut off to the Bosch inline pump.
Next is the big ring which pulls the 3 way fuel shut off..
Last is the T-handle which I can pull the guillitione air shut off from the seat..I hope to never have to use it.

My tractor was once a Pro-Field so its built beyond what is required for Hot Stock...

Thanks 1206--Your setup looks a lot better but if it works and passes tech. inspection that is the main thing. Went to a pull in Waverly IA last night but got rained out. Was supposed to be the announcer--ECITPA show--They put on a good show. Had a couple of beers with the guys and was home by 9:30--RAIN MAKES GRAIN--Stay Safe---Tee

I'd say that your setup is quite a bit cheaper and will work just as good as mine....I was supposed to go to a MSTPA pull at Owensville,MO this evening which is a 450 mile round trip to pull for $125 1st place....Owensville has a 90% chance for locally heavy rain today so I decided to stay at home...Theres storms to the north of it right now....Several from my area are going as they are in 1st place in the points standings for their classes..Emma is leading my class and she's staying home...I'm tied for 2nd.....YES RAIN MAKES GRAIN and we could sure use a good one...
