Video-Pulling In The Mud

2021 has been a challenging year to get any tractor pulling done...3 of 5 state level pulls I was going to pull at have been rained out plus 4 antique pulls...This looks like another 2019 when numerous pulls got rained out not only once but several had it happen twice..Guess what, rain is forecast for this coming Friday,Saturday, and Sunday so more pulls will bite the dust..On the bright side the corn and beans are sure loving it..Its only in the upper 70's today and things are so nice and green..

My MSTPA pull got rained out at Clinton,MO on Saturday evening so I loaded the 6000 Ford and headed to Golden City,MO for a 1 PM pull...They had about 1 inch of rain but still had the pull....It rained some just before I hooked...It was a challenge to get down the track but it sure beat not having a pull at all...I finished last in the 5000 Open but still had fun..

1206--It is obvious you have WAY too much power--Try taking 2 plug wires off and give the rest of us a chance!!--Looks like you had a good wet time--See Ya around---Tee

The funnest thing about this pull was that it gave me the chance to shift to high gear (about 18 mph?) which I had always wanted to do...It just barely had enough power and I'm afraid with 2 plug wires off it would have fallen on its face...grin.. Several of my friends said that I should have went down the very left side because I found the mud hole in the center-right at 189 ft..If I remember right the 460 IH was 1st, the 101 Massey was 2nd,and the 2 Olivers from Broken Arrow,Oklahoma were 3rd and 4th,and I was in 5th.

We are usually in a drought at this time of the year so the mud sure beats the dust..I have 3 pulls this weekend and rain is forecast for Thursday thru Monday.
