C-153 Build

I am building a C-153 engine to pull . Has anyone off set bored cylinders as to have a larger bore ? 2 cylinders are ok the other two #2 and #4 need to be off set bored to go larger. Has anyone had trouble with this such as head gasket sealing ? Any help would be great . Thanks

Wasn't on a IH build. But on my engine I had firering grooves machined into the sleeves. Then I drilled and tapped all the water holes in the head and the block. Then ran the water in the front of the block then took it out of the back of the block and put it into the back of the head then took it out of front of head into top of radiator. Run a cheap Harbor Freight 3/4 pump and a Honda Radiator. Just poured sealant 2 or 3 bottles into block a week before I put antifreeze in it.

I have one and if you go big you need to use every thing billet. I have a weiled crank that come out of a off bore H engine for sale if you are interested. You can call or email me. 618 664 2732. The only thing i dont like is you have to run a solid block.
