Yes to both questions. We had light rain at start time and that delayed it for an hour. Had the track ready and got to the 5000 jackpot class. They had like maybe 2 left to go and it downpours on us for maybe 20 minutes. They had plenty of equipment there so they ran the frontend loader and 2 skid steers up and down the track pushing about 3 inches of water of it. They had a big pile of powder dry dirt they had taken off to make the track and I told them take the frowned loader and put a layer of that dry stuff down which they did. Disked it in and packed it and it made a pretty good track out of it. Actually better than it would have been without the rain. So they did the 5000 jackpot over again and we got to the 5500 open class and it rained again. This time they were going to call it a day but the contractor that donated the equipment said no way, we can make it work so they pushed the water off again and put more dry dirt down and we managed to finish the pull. Our trailer was stuck in a low spot so they came with the loader and pulled us out to dry ground. We were all loaded and on our way by 10 pm. I finished 1st in 3 classes and second in 2 including the 5500 jackpot which still paid $250 for second. Son Tim had 2 wins including the 5000 jackpot which was $500 to win and the guy that was with us let his daughter drive that class and she got 3rd for $150. A good payday all around.

Last hook before they called it in the 5000 class.

Last hook in the 5000 open before they called it. I think I would have quit before then but she came a long way and wanted to get a hook in one way or another. believe it or not we were pulling again in less than hour after that downpour. Video's are on Facebook.
