Looking g for some information from someone who stroked a 44 out before and also andyinfromation on larger pistons than an mandw kit and headlock to make them flow. Thanks in advance

We bored and stroked one to 4 3/8 460 Ford pistons and stroked it 1 5/8. That much stroke was a big mistake on my part. An inch would have been plenty and we would have avoided a lot of little nagging issues. The over size Marvel carb we used would have worked either way. It did seem to ignore the sled the few times we hooked it. gm

Was told Ford 534 pistons could be used, 4.5 inch bore.

Or International DV549 (may be same piston?) but they seem to be scarce!
