Have any of you ever foamed the rear-end of your pulling tractor?--What did you use? How did you keep it stuck to the bottom of the case? What foam does not break down or get oil logged?--Thanks---Tee

Done a few of them. Some tractors you can use foam sheets and stack them in, others just use spray foam. Just regular spray foam. I did two Deeres, cuts the oil down to like 6 or 7 gallons.

Housing must be clean and dry, it will stick to the housing. Dont put too much it at once, large areas have to be layered or it wont cure correctly. Then it can be carved to clear gears and such. If you have it split you can use a board and some parchment paper to make a form to hold the foam in as it cures and future spits become way easier.

Thanks--Is there any brand of foam that will work better than another or is it all about the same--breaking down or getting oil logged?--Thanks again

We use Great Stuff. Use the low spread stuff or it will get away from you. Make sure case is oil free if possible. Turn the tranny over before it sets up to make sure it all clears. Use a long blade knife to trim the excess off. Put a little in at a time, use some pipe to make drain channels if you need them. We run about 2-3 gal. oil in the Deeres. Coming down to Tulsa Tee? Otherwise see you in Waterloo I suppose.

Thanks Mel--Great Stuff it is then..No to Tulsa-have the old Case in a million pieces--We put in on a diet-and one thing leads to another-If you are going--GOOD LUCK---Tee PS-Did you have a good birthday? And did you behave yourself?

Was a good day and I always behave myself. Ray put a nice picture of me and the G on his FB page. I told him to not let you see it or you would be jealous. HA HA
