Went pulling at Plainfeild, Iowa Fri. night and Sat.--Hot-Hot. Fri. was pro-farm and like and 1000 pick-ups. Got home at 4 in the morning--Rough on a old man! Back at it 10 the next morning-classic tractors and like. Our group did pretty good-won a few and lost a few. Good to go to a pull again--The one Son was going to put on in Westgate got cancelled by the city council--bummer! Did I say it was HOT---Tee

I'll bet it felt good to be pulling even if it was hot..Yesterday I attended my 10th and 11th pulls for 2020..The first one was a classic pull at Golden City,MO....I didnt take any tractors as I wasn't going to have time to pull them....At around 3 PM a pullers wife had problems with the heat and a ambulance was called..I hope that she's OK..I left not long after just before the 4500 lb 3 MPH class was to start....I headed 88 miles north to a MSTPA pull at Clinton,MO scheduled for a 6 PM start.

The week before I pulled July 3rd at a Spring River pull at Cassville,MO (105 miles SE) on a Friday night...The next morning on no sleep I was at Chetopa,KS (100 miles SW) for a July 4th pull that started at 9 AM....Thats rough on an old man...It took 3 days to get over it.

This week I have pulls at Carthage,MO (50 miles) on Friday and Saturday nights...It will be near 100 degrees but I'm only pulling the 5000 lb 10 MPH class with my 427 Continental powered 101 Massey....So no weights to throw..

We were fortunate to get 2.1" of rain on July 3rd...3 miles west and 3 miles east of me is burning up and we will join them later this week...We had a 80% chance yesterday and got no rain...

This tough 4020 JD won the 10500 Hot Stock last night at Clinton,MO..I was unable to pull my Hot Stock 1466 IH as the injection pump has been at 2 different pump shops for 7 months and not worked on...

My friend and neighbors 9500 Pro Field 1206 IH at Clinton last night...His 343 ft pass was good for 2nd place in a field of 8 tough tractors...It was a biting track that took both power and nose weight...There were several chirped turbos.

My 427 Continental powered 101 Massey running 3rd gear at Chetopa,KS on July 4th..I got 2nd in both the 4500 and 5000 lb Open classes getting beat by a big cube 460 IH....I was only 18 ft behind in the 4500.

Both days were full of action, many good pullers from many places, storm stayed away for most of the show Saturday. A big thanks to Dan W. and Willy H. for all the work, volunteers and all were dedicated to us pullers to have a great place to pull.

Saw your video of OL Abe. Looks like the turbo was doing it's job. Looked like a good hook. You can come pull with us boys out west. Fri night is Granite IA. Starts at 6:00. Sat we move 120 miles north at Twin Brooks SD. Starts at 5:00. July 25th is Winnebago MN, July 26th Marble Store MN. at noon. And Aug 1st is Davis SD.

Sounds like the VAC did real good..I have to lock my MM in low gear as it wants to jump out...Theres lots of pulling organizations in Missouri and even though lots of pulls have been cancelled, theres always 2-3 pulls every weekend within 125 miles of home..We pull in to October and theres even one antique pull in mid November....Very few masks being worn here but nnalert hasn't been a huge problem in my rural area...35% chance of rain tonight and boy do we ever need it.Stay safe..
