who in ohio builds chrysler flat heads?

Any good shop can fix you up by putting
in biggest valves an some good
porting. Also have them mill off the deck
of the head as much as they can but
stI'll be safe to run.

I tried to build a 400 cu. Chrysler
starting with a 265. Head is longer. Start
with a 265. But it is hard to bore them
much. Tried to put domed IHC pistons and
sleeves from a 756. We didn't think the
top of the block would take it. But it
would take a 6" stroke. Valves are big
enough in a 265. Just need newer style
that flows better. And a newer style cam.
Get a trailer pulling grind. Get some
smaller domed IHC pistons. Only way to get
compression up there fairly cheap.

Years ago I pulled a Wards tractor with a 265 Chrysler that was from a MM combine..It was bored .125 with Jahns 10-1 pistons..You could figure on splitting a cylinder every year....It had a Isky cam with heavy valve springs..It had dual carbs and dual exhaust..It dynoed 120 horsepower at 2000 rpms....We turned it 6000 on the track.

6000--WOW--If I was one of those people by the side of the track--I might have stood back just a little--BOOM--Thanks for the pic.---Tee
