Yesterday I attended a pull at Wichita,KS...It was a hot day of pulling with temps in the upper 90's...Thanks to KWLS 107.9,SCATA,and the Union Stockyards for putting
this pull on..There was around 100 hooks...My 101 Massey ran great but the U MM couldn't seem to get enough fuel on the big end...I guess I'll pull the carb apart plus
get a new fuel filter..

Thanks for the pics 1206--It looks very hot and dry!-The grass by the track looks crispy. Looks like they had a good turnout--We went to a test and tune about 30 mi from here Sat.--They will have a pull there next month and Son-Ray and I took out tractors for they will have some jack-pot classes and we weighted to those weights for fun--$20 a hook but it was good to get out! Thanks and stay safe--See Ya---Tee

Thanks for the pictures. I made the picture that is next to the very last one on my Farmall Super C. Pulled in farm stock and finished 2nd in 3500, 1st in 4,000 and 4th in 4500. They did an excellent job putting this pull on. It was over 100 degrees and 25 to 30 mph winds when I left about 1:30. There was talk of the possibility of having another one sometime in September as the Kansas State fair will no longer have pulls after 29 years.

I saw a video of the VAC at the test and tune...Looked like it was a running good...They had a nice turnout at Wichita....The truck thermometer said 108 when we left but soon as we got on the road back home it dropped back to 98 so almost had to put a jacket on....(grin)

You have a very nice Super C..It was a well run pull..Brandin and crew did a nice job..My parents both grew up on farms near Lindsborg,KS so I always enjoy visiting Kansas..

108--Unbearable--98--THE SAME--Hope your air was up to it for the ride home--It was in the 80's at the test and tune--The weights are still too heavy for a old man!---Tee----Mel--aren't you going to tell us about Elgin?

Did that VAC look like this one on super steroids? I think we will have to move him over to the smoker classes if he keeps putting out like that. Nice run though TEE. Picture curtesy of Big TEE's son.

MY G ran good a couple of times. Coming off the trailer and going back on. I think it came down with the virus or something. Had a fever, couldn't breath, bad cough, all the symptoms of the virus. Boy's got a plan for it though so look out. The SD boy's came home with the jackpot money though. Mark Shellum's son Cody won the 5300 10 mph one, John Ebling won the 5300 6 mph one and our buddy Jake Mitchell who is running with us this year won the 5750 3.5 mph one. Brian got 3 wins. Mrs. MSD had a real good hook but she was the first one out. I sent her down the right side where nobody had been going and she held 2nd place for a quite awhile till the rest started moving over to her line then it was over for her. I drove her's in the 5750 jackpot class and finished 3rd but it didn't pay anything for that place. Was hot, windy and dirty all day. Got back home at 2:am so didn't do a thing Sunday. Merl

Last August I bought a new 2018 model 2500 Ram with the 6.4 Hemi plus a new 25 ft Starlite tandem dually gooseneck trailer...I just rolled it past 3000 miles on the way to Wichita...The AC sure felt great coming home at 5 PM..I threw 3000 lbs of weights at Wichita and still feel like a truck ran over me.

Nice outfit! I had all my weights off of Abe to get to 5000 and had to put them back on--Son saw me doing it and must have felt sorry for me for he put them back on for me--Old Age sneaks up on Ya faster than you think!---Tee

Sound like you S.D. guys had a good day! Congrats--2 am--Very long day--Did they wake you up when you all got home?---Tee

That picture sums it up..The AC quit working several years ago on my 1997 Ford F-350 so I wouldnt have even dreamed of going to Wichita in it with that kind of heat..Throwing 3000 lbs of weights was so much fun that I'm doing it again this Saturday just 35 miles from home...At least it will only be 88 degrees..Come to think of it I'd rather it be 78 degrees, maybe even 68..
