Who can build a stroked crankshaft at 5.25" for an IH 301 engine in a reasonable amount of time? Who in Nebraska does crankshaft stroking and are they reasonable? I had one at a shop for over a year. They welded it up and said they just needed to finish it since April of 2019. It was supposed to be finished and picked up by a freight truck on January 9th. I found out last week, after waiting three weeks and getting nothing that it broke when they were "straightening it". It was evidently never finish ground either because it would be straightened before grinding and the pickup date was just a story. Pullers are always at the mercy of some machinist it seems and told to wait for their parts. I have pulled tractors for 33 years this summer and it never changes. Wish I could get parts like the guys on the circuit do or make more of my own parts.
