Well I pulled my D17 Diesel Yesterday at Princeton In. Motor ran well, at the end tires stopped spinning for a instant then started turning again. I was in 2nd hi with 18.4x38 cut tires. 9 mph gear.at 3000. Pulled it twice at 4500. Good biting clay track. 6 and 8 mph. Question is how to tell which is slipping. Or to just eliminate the torque. First. I have a 6 button main clutch, pressure plate is from a 4x4 96 f250. Thanks for any ideas.

put tractor in range where torque is direct or not in the clutch pack,-- put gear shifter in high(road) gear, take off fast with foot off the side of pedal,if it slips then is main clutch????????

On a allis its always a clutch pack. Hi and low. But thanks anyway. I'm just going to eliminate it.
