What would happen if i replaced the governor spring with an adjustable rod with small heim joints on each end....Just curious, Thanks....H

That would effectively eliminate the governor.
At that point just hook the throttle right to the carb, I do not recommend doing such a thing.

My "H" with C-169 was built to run around 2000, 2100 rpm's. cant hardly get it to rev up to
factory specs, even with a new "heavy" spring and what i thought was an adjusted governor.
Any suggestions? Would replacing the spring with the rod do this? I ask because the piece i
describe was in one of those "Dennys" magic pulling governor kits that was bought for me,
and it had no instructions for the extra parts....Thanks; Joe

I have always wondered y you guys that are trying to make all this horse power and rpms mess with a governor at all ?? my thoughts get rid of it!!
