anything that decreases combustion chamber volume. have new seats and valves, plane the head, 40-50 thou. go out on a limb and do some welding in there.
 

While getting the head done you could even find out that the valves are recessed due to previous valve jobs. They will be able to put in oversized valves which will bring the valve surface back out and increase your compression.
 
they are not oversized valves they are the standard valves . with new valves and seats the valves are sitting higher in the combustion chamber,every time a seat and valve is ground it puts it lower in the seat. you do not want this.

Yes rustred, that is exactly what I said.
 
unless they're real tall they will work with 110 octane , sit it up there with no bolts and see if it clears .
