560 pulling gears

What is everybody running for pulling gears in a 560. Is there any overdrive/underdrive gears available similar to what garden tractor puller use? Kinda looking to possibly slow down 2nd gear torque forward but faster than second gear torque back. 3-3.5mph.

if you can't do three plus with a 560 -- you have many more problems than new gears, what size tires, what hitch, what weight, you have perfect gears now,- the problem is ?????????????????????????????????????????

I can do 3-3.5mph just fine It seems my 2nd is a little fast with torque back for 3mph. I was just wondering if someone made custom gears for the antiques.

many use the 560 rear end for some mod classes,so = yes, guys make gears,Atlas, look at other posts, many guys listed, most likely all don't make 560 gears, but they can tell you,I need gears too,but not easy or cheap.problem is we all need the gears we have now for some tracks and different gears when needed,LOL

Yeah I agree. My first gear is way too slow. It is slower than any other 560 I've pulled
doubletree with years ago. I was told it probably has the orchard/creeper 1st gear. I usually run 2nd gear with torque back 2200rpm with 15.5x38 cut Firestones but last year after I pulled it the sled operator said I was actually running 3.6mph. I guess I will just have to play with the throttle to keep it under 3.5mph to avoid DQ.

I think I need to be able to go 5 mph in the 3.5 mph class. I put my speedo on 3.4 and try to keep it there for as long as I can. I try to never blow the horn! In fact generally just loaf till I get to the cone.
