I posted this in the Farmall section but maybe there is someone in here who is not there who has some experience.
I bought a 450 recently that was putting water in the engine. It has an M&W crankshaft and a 4.25" bore. The head was cracked so I put a different one on. I got it running and it runs good however it seems to vibrtate more than I expected it to. I only checked the number one rod bearing and it looked really good. I was wondering if anyone has been around these enough to answer my question. Do the M&W crankshafts tend to vibrate more than the original C-281 crankshafts? It vibrates more like a C-264 unbalanced crankshaft. The rod bearing was dated 9/75. I plan on looking at all the bearings to see how they look. I hope the crank is not broken.
