7' of clay to make a track?

Local fire department is building a new pulling track. Rumor has it that they're laying in clay 7' deep for the track.

That seems like a lot of clay. Is that typical?

No but it should really make a good track.A high built up track is asey to work with wet or dry wether.Nothing is better then a good clay track.
