still working on the 460 puller.. pulled the hydraulic pump and all the filters and screens. just wondering how we could seal that section off so we don"t have to have as much rear end fluid. just wondering what people have done before to do this... how little of rear end fluid can you safely run in it? any help is great

measure the holes & get freeze plugs. 5gal. is plenty if you use a empty 2gal. jug between the bull gears with a stick to hold it on bottom. Good Luck

i found the hole on the right side of the tractor under the filter cover going towards the rear end... is this the only hole i need to plug... i have never thought of the 2 gal jug idea though. thanks

you have to split the tractor between clutch housing & tran. look at IT shop manual paragraph 213 fig. IH1164. At the top, there is a drain gutter to remove. Wile your there you might as well take out the PTO parts out, Remeber Go Big or Go Home
