I have a 1941 M with a cracked head. The head number is 6336DD, do I have to replace it with the same number or will any head fit?

The 8060 casting number is that off an M, Super M or what originally? What would be the casting number off a 450? How come no one is making aftermarket aluminum or better quality cast heads today for M's or are they? thanks.

Any gas head for a M through SMTA would be a help on power and bolts right on. Think the head you have came with 3/8 studs to hold the manifolds on. Later and most used 7/16 studs.

400 450 heads dont have the opening you can see at rear of head. Pipe to air cleaner inlet. They can still be and are used on the M.

IF YOUR GOING TO PULL OR HAVE A ALL AROUND FUN TRACTOR LOOK FOR A 450 HEAD. WAY BETTER THEN A M HEAD BUT THEY ARE EXPENSIVE. OR YOU COULD GO WITH A M OR S M HEAD FOR A LOT LESS.
