Im building my 273 Buda for my 50 Cockshutt and im putting the D-19 Allis Crank in it for a 3/8 inch longer stroke and of coarse a bigger custom made cam, etc. A looked it up in a book that a 250 inline 6 chevy has a 3 3/4 bore just like the 273. But can some one tell me about resist pin height? Are the rings in the same spot? Is it shorter or taller than a standard 273 piston? I want to try and stay away from custom made pistons cause the budget is alittle tight but if someone out there has done the same thing as what im doing if they would want to share with me I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Is there enough material above the top of the pistons rings to machine the tops down and use the stock.. or stock style piston??
