Everyone is invited to come to the fairgrounds during the “Old Settlers’ Days” in Salem
and see the antique farm machinery, swap meet, and flea markets.
Also, stay for the “Antique Tractor Pull” Saturday night.

RULES FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY FAIR TRACTOR PULL
General Rules for All Classes
Reg. 4:00 - Dr. Mtg. 6:00 - Pull Starts 6:30
1. Drivers must be 16 years or older. Those under 18 years of age must have
written parental or guardian permission. Those under 13 years of age must
have proof of liability insurance.
2. Drivers must stay on the seat of the tractor at all times. Hands must be on
the steering wheel, hand clutch, or throttle. Feet must stay on platform at
all times during the pull.
3. Any tractor or driver found to be unsafe or illegal may be disqualified, or
barred from hooking.
4. Any tractor parts falling off while hooked to the sled will be a disquali
fication.
5. Tractors must stay in bounds at all times during the pull.
6. No radial tires, steel wheels, or duals. Two wheel drive only.
7. Tractors must be naturally aspirated.
8. Judges or promoters decision is final at all times during the pull.
9. Tractors must be 1960 or older, but including same models running past
1960, except 9500# 65 & older.
10. All tractors will be weighed at pull area with the driver on the tractor
during pre-registration.
Class Antique Pure Stock No Modifications
3500# > 9500# Class - 1 Open Class 6500#
1. all tractors must have a standard draw bar or factory standard C-frame
type hitch with no part of the draw bar hitch extending reward beyond point
of hook. Min. 4” clevis w/hitch pin.
2. May pull from lift arms with factory hitch set at maximum 18” height. This
cannot be moved during the pull.
3. All draw bars must be no more 18” in height, and must have clevis hooked in
the center.
4. Top will be re-weighed for draw bar height.
5. Puller has 2 attempts to start sled only if the first hook is stopped before
the 50’ mark.
6. Weights must not extend rearward beyond rear tires and cannot be more
than 11’ from the center of the rear axles to the furthest point forward.
Factory issue only.
7. Tractors may pull more than once per class with different drivers in each
pull. One hook per person per class.
8. Tractors may run in any gear not to exceed 3 MPH.
9. Top 3 places will receive trophies.
