Alright everyone I am just about to purchase tires for my 60 the only thing holding me back is prepping and painting the rims and by extension the wheels, however I encountered something which perturbed me.
Along with my wheels and rims my rear axles are also painted yellow and yet looking through the countless pictures on line I see them both painted yellow and some black.
To further compound the issue my father and I got into a debate over if I even needed to paint the axle at all his argument for this was that painting it could mess with wheel adjustments and that most of the tractors I had seen with black painted axles might not have been painted at all.
So my question boils down to. "Should my axle be painted at all? If so, what color and are their any hurdles to worry about while doing it?"
