Hydraulic problem

I have a Ford 335 tractor with a front loader
on it and was using it to pull fence posts
yesterday and lost the hydraulics to the
loader. You can't lift or tilt the bucket.
Checked the fluid and it was about 8 from
the top. There's no leaks anywhere. Could
someone give me an idea what it could be.
Just bought it about a month ago and have
been using it and everything seemed fine.

Does it have a front-mounted ''stinger'' hydraulic pump that is driven by a shaft off of the front to the crankshaft?

IF so, be sure that the pump is actually turning, a shaft key or splines could have sheared or a coupling may have failed.

Could be a number of things. Since you suddenly lost everything I would check the filter screen first. You may have fluid but if it can't get to the pump it's not going to work. At least you can rule one thing out without it costing you anything. If you drain the fluid out in a clean container you can reuse it. I usually filter it through a paint strainer before putting it back in.
