Name of clear coat ?

A while back it was mentioned here in a thread, that there is a coating or spray that can be applied to tractors in their work clothes that will give them some protection but retain that look.
Can someone give me that product name? Is it a spray?

That gets pretty complicated. A lot has to do with what kind of finish is on the tractor. Some clear coats have solvents so strong they will wrinkle up the original paint. Then some clear coats are not compatible with the old finish and peal off. Look at the auto manufacturers, they don't have all the answers themselves. You see pretty new cars with the clear pealing off. The safest thing you could do is to rub out the old paint with rubbing compound. On open areas you can use a buffer with the rubbing compound and polish the paint to a high gloss.

Turpentine. It needs to be renewed every 2-4 years depending on exposure to sun, rain and ventilation.
