Paint feels sticky

Repainted my Minny with enamel paint and hardener. The paint feels sticky when picking up a part even after its been drying for several days. Not tacky but sticky when I run my hand over it.

Any ideas? Will it get better with time?

Enamel dries from top surface down.That will take some time. It depends somewhat on how thick a coat was put on.

The paint could be old. Also if it wasn't stirred well it could prevent it from drying correctly. It will get better with time however there is something wrong which will shorten the duty life of the paint. If the paint job is important you would probably be better off taking the paint off and start over.

if it was that tisco brand paint it will take a month to dry and two months to fade

Spray or brush? Alkyd enamel is known to take a long time to dry and to then harden. A brush applied coat is going to take longer than sprayed. It could take a good month to safe handing point.

Whats the humidity there ? My can say not to use it above 70 percent

park the tractor out in the sun. it will heat the paint up and allow the solvents to flash off quicker.

I painted some stuff a few weeks ago with Mystic implement paint,it took two weeks to dry to the touch,and I still got blue paint on my hands bolting it on.

cheap paint will only do a cheap job
