Remove Rust-oleum Farm & Implement paint?

I forgot to mask off the builder's plate on my tractor before repainting it.

The can says to use xylol or mineral spirits for clean-up, will one of them also act as a remover now that the paint is dry?

Which of the two will work better?

Removing paint neither will do anything. Does the builders plate have raised letters or is it just stenciled? If it's stenciled the information may be lost. Anything you would put on it to remove the fresh paint would damage the old paint. If it's raised letters then
that could be restored. Anyway lacquer thinner would be my first choice for a solvent to clean the paint off.

Thankfully the lettering is raised and the SN is stamped.

I got the paint off and the plate is still legible.

If you have a steady hand maybe you can paint the background color with a brush. It works better with a sign painters paint and a blue squirrel paint brush.
