What to paint

Hi, im interested in others ideas of what to paint when restoring a tractor. The tractor in question is a fordson major and I'm thinking items like injector pump, fuel lines , injector pipes etc. After removing several bits and giving them a really good clean up some would look good in this state. The lift pump came up lovely but would spraying it blue be the way to go or would it deteriorate without even. Many auction tractors have been blown over with paint on everything and can look a bit overdone so what is every one else doing, cheers

I've always tried to paint everything like the factory did when the tractor was first built. Even some of these parts are aluminum or stainless steel they won't stay looking nice once the tractor is being used. It's just easier to clean dirt and grime off painted
parts than to polish out oxidation.

So I'm guessing things like injector pipes would have been sprayed at the factory too. I won't be able to get a show finish but with a good undercoat first at least it will be protected .
Whatever I do it will be a light worker too so any nuts and bolts will have signs of tinkering at some point !

You can view Fordson color advertising videos of fresh, just off the assembly line, tractors to see what was painted and what wasn't.
