I tried to install decals after 3 days painted tractor- I didnt know til now that you wait 30 days....right? They were good vinyl decals from YT but when I try to peel off the outside clear piece the decals come with it---wont stay on tractor; so i pulled them off and thru them in trash. Any help on this? Thanks

Maybe they are real decals instead of vinyl cutouts. Vinyl comes on paper with no clear film. I got decals for my 960 Ford twenty years ago. They were the real ones with a clear film.

I can't advise you on installing the decals but the fact that you tried to put them on after 3 days was not responsible for the failure. They tell you to wait 90 days because paint shrinks as it dries and could make the decal wrinkle up. You need to find out what caused the failure before you get more decals.

the reason you need to wait at least 30 days is to allow the solvents in the paint to off gas. assuming you used an alkyd enamel type tractor paint, or even an automotive acrylic enamel, it takes time. if you had a heated spray both you could bake it to speed the process. getting the tractor out in the sun will help too..
