Are there 2 different shades of Ford Grey that you're aware of? I want to paint my pie weights and weight box to put on the lighter colored 961 and bought the Rustoleum Grey but it looks darker then what's on the tractor. It's more like the 961 with the blade on it. I'm thinking the PO may have used something other than Ford Grey on the tin and rims. Or, I just haven't found the lighter grey anywhere. Thanks! Tom

Your second one looks correct. There are three grays. Dark gray of 9N and 2N, light gray of the 8Ns and NAAs and X00s, and medium gray of the XX1s. The medium to me has a slight yellowish brownish tint to it. I took the center cover of the hood, which still had the original decals and paint on it and cleaned it good and took it to the paint jobber and had them digitally analyze and reproduce it. After the XX1s Ford went to the white for the X000s.

So the 4cyl 2000 that I am planning on painting should have the white? I thought they may have still used the same as theXX1. What original paint left looks more like
the XX1 paint actually

The 2000 should be white like tom's first pic.
