Im rebuilding a farmall m and noticed thr paint on the inside of the tranny needs help. what kind of primer and paint should i use?
dont want it to peel up.

Original paint was there solely for the purpose of sealing in any sand left over from the casting process. It has served its purpose and does not need to be replaced. You will not ever get the cast iron clean enough for ANY kind of paint to stick, so best bet, don't even try.

Yep, it just sealed any leftover sand and/or any porous spots that may seep oil. Replacement not needed. Good thing too, that is/was a special paint that is still available but sorta expensive.
