Paint removal?

Needle scaler or 5F5 or some other Methylene Chloride product. then sand the rust after the strip...striped my 67 Mustang with chemical remover but this is a little different.

A paint remover with Methylene Chloride is difficult to obtain. Big brother has banned the chemical for retail sale. If you can find a professional finishing supplier you might print yourself some business cards on your computer saying you have a furniture
refinishing shop you might con the supplier to sell to you.

Myself stripping a car I would rather use an orbital sander with coarse paper. It will go down to the metal quick. Then if the car has had some body work a chemical stripper will remove any bondo on it. At least with a sander you can stop grinding when you see putty.

I'm the GM for an Architectural Fiberglass shop I can buy it in 55gal Drums (although we no longer do) so obtaining it is not difficult. but it is nasty stuff to work with...but damn does it work to strip paint.

I like to strip with 80 grit on a buffer, not grinder. Slower speed doesn't load the paper as bad nor gouge the metal as much.
