Glyptal Red thinner

I hate to throw about a 1/4 can of this, Air must have gotten under the lid . Some in bottom is hard. Some is thick and stirs with screw driver. But I can’t risk put it on inside one engine side cover .
But I can use it on non critical part , agh just don’t want to abmitt I wasted it .
I thinks it’s a goner ,I can’t find any thinner recommendations.
Any suggestions ?

It is called glyptal 1500 reducer. Google it.

You would be wasting more money purchasing thinner. The paint has gone bad. With many paints once the resins separate and gels or hardens solvents won't help. The resins just won't accept the solvent anymore.

Thank you , I ordered another quart , going to try to pour out what I need into a plastic paint container. Instead of paint brushing out of the can , and resealing the lid this time. I think that will help to keep the can sealed better .

Some people store the can upside down with a gasket roofing screw in the lid if they want paint they just remove the screw pour . Blowing your breath into can prevents skimming also.
