air fed respirator

I got my intake hose 16' up the outside of my shop, from the ground, and my exhaust fan is over 50' away on the opposite side of the building, (basically corner to corner) from my intake and its approx. 6' off the ground for height (exh fan), sometimes depending on the way the wind is, the exhaust gets into my intake.
I try to make sure before I start painting that the wind is in the right direction, but sometimes it changes while I'm painting, it seems if there's not quite enough of a breeze the fumes linger around the building, any advice on what I can change?
Thanks in advance

Try putting the hose at ground level and about 5 or 10 feet away from the building, thats what I do with mine and have no problems.

Sounds like you need a longer hose to place the pump in clean air. Check the specs on your unit and see what the maximum length you can use. Some units you can use a hose 100 yards long.
