overspray on concrete

I would like suggestions for removing overspray from concrete. I recently painted a truck for some one with a very dark gray metallic. This truck was completely disassembled and painted inside and out for a complete color change. In the past I have had no real problems just sweeping and power washing my floor to remove overspray. However this paint has more bite to the concrete. I have tried liquid paint stripper in a couple of areas and it worked well but my shop area is about 1600 sq ft. It is not practical to apply this by hand and scrub the whole floor. The floor is not completely covered but I want an even appearance when I finish. Would muriatic acid properly diluted and applied with a yard sprayer work to clean my floor?

If the paint is bonded to the concrete I think the paint stripper is the only option. Do small areas at a time. The next problem is recently the government has banned the sale of paint stripper containing methylene chloride to the public. Without the methylene chloride the new removers take about ten times as much elbow grease. If you find some still on the store shelf with methylene chloride better get it.

fedex dropped a gallon of Cat yellow on my front stoop--it was finished with porous pavers--i hired a guy who had a hot water pressure washer and it got all of it off.

I worked for a place that sold concrete construction supplies back in the mid 90's and we sold a product that was graffiti remover. Maybe you could check that out.

I gotta ask, why do you get overspray on the floor in the first place?

I've painted several dozen vehicles in my shop and there's no overspray anywhere, floor, walls, wherever.

When we painted the walls of my shop, I got some overspray on the concrete. I rented a floor buffer with an abrasive pad under the brush. Got most of it up.

Like jaden - we used a floor buffer with an abrasive pad to get the paint off of the concrete floor in an addition at our church. Also sprayed water on the surface as we buffed, then had another crew mopping behind us. Our paint was latex wall/ceiling paint, but it was a thick sloppy mess. We had hired a preacher/painter to spray paint the walls and ceiling in the new addition, and I guess he'd never heard of drop cloths. It took about 6 hours on a 30' X 30' floor, but it shined like a new dollar when we were finished.

Your paint might be harder to remove.

I cant figure why this paint caused me this problem. Before this I painted a truck victory red, using PPG, and no issues at all. I shot with a SATA gun with 28/29psi at the handle. My gun does best at this psi. My test patterns came out perfect. I only have overspray on the concrete and my exhaust fans had my shop evacuated in about 30 seconds after letting off the trigger. This is the only paint that that caused me this problem. It was a premix custom color kit from SUMMIT RACING, GRANITE PEARL. I think it is actually Sherwin Williams automotive paint.

I really like the idea of a floor scrubber. I am on vacation in 2 weeks and I hope to be able to try it out. Thank you guys for your input. I am actually going to try a
few methods and maybe a combination of some.
