Tractor Rim Color

I know this question's been a million times, but what color
(brand & number, etc.) do you recommend for rear tractor rims?
In this case I am referring to a VAC-14 Case. It wouldn't be
hard to improve on the red it has now. Plan on complete repaint
this summer.

Any I've seen the rims were painted aluminum and the axles were panted red.

I agree that a lot are painted aluminum, which I think looks very poor. I bought a new pair of Unverferths once, and they were silver, same as truck bumpers use to be, which I think looks good. Almost all of the rims on tractors at the pulls that have been repainted are silver. One member here insists that rims used to be galvanized, but I have yet to find any under any paint that I have cleaned off. I would go with silver.

I restored this one about 3 years ago for a customer. I used Rustoleum Hammered Silver for the rims.
