chevy chrome strip

im fixing to repaint my 80 model k-30 truck, after i install my new fenders, the old rig has a what i think is plastic chrome strip about a inch wide that runs along the back edge of the hood,in front of the windshield, it needs a new one, or leave it off, but i havent found any new ones . anybody seen any?

that one is the lock strip that goes in the windshield rubber to lock the glass in, the one i need is the one that slides on the very rear edge of the hood itself, not all chevys had it but silverados i think did, and it could be had on any trim level by asking for it then the truck was ordered, lmc and a few other places ive looked dont service it, and right now ebay dont have it either, i may have to just leave it off, looks nice, but thats all it does

You might search for a Chevrolet forum. There are collector organizations that go to the point of having some parts manufactured. A group like that would probably know how to find that part for you.
