shining up old IH emblems???

What's the best way to shine up the old
IH emblems on the 00/50 series
tractors? They seem to be stainless
steel?

If you buff them on a polishing wheel you must be very careful not to catch an edge. I take them and ty-wrap them to a piece of wood for support . I once had a buffer rip a piece of stainless trim out of my hands so fast I thought it took my finger off. The piece got ruined too. So good support .

Dremel and there polishing compound. Take your time clamp down on wood board , get comfortable and lightly proceed , take lots of breaks for coffee and rolls. Enjoy

Also a lot of old emblems are aluminum. Use the money and get a proper polish and be sure what you are working on!

When I did my 450 which has all stainless emblems I used Simichrome Polish and soft cloths and they came out great. The TA one in photo had not been polished yet. I also use it onn stainless wheel covers on truck.
