John deere paint / ppg acrylic enamel compatible?

If i paint a few parts with the john deere paint while assembling a tractor then come back later scuff the paint then paint with the ppg will it take or peel up?

if it’s completely dry I don’t know why you couldn’t. If it’s not completely dry and use paint that isn’t compatible it might not gas off like it’s supposed to. I have done that with parts that were ordered such as lights, battery boxes that were already painted. I’m sure someone on here knows more than I do and can be more exact.
 

I have seen paint applied over old paint cause the old paint to curl up after awhile. I wouldn't do it. I would just leave those parts in primer and scuff the primer before final paint.
 
It would be better to paint those parts with acrylic enamel. This time of year it would take more than a month for the john deere paint to cure enough you could put acrylic enamel over the top.
