Hi All. I been having the opportunity to check that all the fluids are full on this Belarus tractor. According to the manual it says fill steering box with transmission oil so using 80/90W. My question is the fill plug has a vent on it. I unscrewed it and pumped in a liter or more expcting it to fill up. I thought maybe it s leaking into transmission. Sure enough I removed the small 3/4" pipe plug below hydraulic pump lever disconnect and gear oil flooded out. So my question to you all if anyone knows if the steering gear is lubricated by the gear oil thats in the hydraulic oil pump\drive housing under the steering gear? The steering box pipe plug with vent has a hex shape below it for a 1/2" or 13 mm wrench. Looking from the side the steering box is mounted 1/2 way back on the housing that has the hydraulic pump\drive.
