Detroit Tractor

Just rescued this one from an impending trip to the scrapyard. Have seen some information on Detroit Tractors, but not much. All has been for an earlier version with an aluminum or steel hood. This one is all fiberglass, including the fuel tank. As I understand it, these were available in an agricultural (engine in front) and industrial (engine in rear) configuration. Does anyone have any literature or information regarding this style? Trying to come up with a year from the engine serial number (53407).
