Long 610 4 wheel drive smoking

Tractor has always smoked pretty bad and I could smell burnt fuel out of the tail pipe but its worse now after resealing the injector pump. Tractor is running good no leaks out of the pump like before. Not using any oil.
Ive blocked off the thermostarter. I also blew air back in the fuel tank from the hose coming from the top of the secondary fuel filter and reservoir and it was clogged up so now Im going to work it for awhile to try to burn the sludge out of the muffler.
Are those the return lines coming from the top of the secondary filer and small reservoir back to the fuel tank? I cant see in the fuel tank if any fuel is coming out of the return lines. Should I check the vent plug on the top of the secondary fuel filter?

I'd have to go out and look, but pretty sure you're correct. The return line fills the reservoir for the thermostart then back to the fuel tank.

Im not getting anything from the small reservoir to the fuel tank. Its 15 degrees here this morning so it will be awhile before I can check it out.

I never did any troubleshooting on a thermostart, but if it's not going back to the tank, I wonder if it going the other way and leaking in to the thermostart and trying to burn raw fuel?

Maybe you're right about burning off whatever might be in the muffler and it'll be alright now that you've blown the return line out. Have you started it with the line off the tank fitting to see if it's running out there? If it is, it might be a matter of just getting things good and warm. Best of luck.

Thanks
I have the line of the rail that goes across the top of the injectors and its just barely squirting any fuel from there where it goes to the small reservoir.
Should it have a steady stream from that point to the reservoir?

Good news
On the secondary filter, fuel goes to the injector pump in the front and returns from the back of the pump and back to the secondary filter and to the fuel tank and I have a good stream going into the fuel tank. Its been blocked for years I guess I just thought it smoked because it was old.
Now on the injector to the small reservoir, Im not sure what kind of fuel stream Im supposed to have but its not much coming out there. Thanks for the help.
If I get anything else figured Ill post it.
