'Splitting' a Deutz-Fahr (dx-6.05)?

I have never split a tractor in my life and I find no step-by-step in the service manual for engine removal. Looking at the thing underneath it looks like the engine bolts directly to the huge rear gearbox and a sort of side rail bolts to the front axle hub housing and also to a pto-cradle bolted to the engine front.

Has anyone pulled and engine from one of these? What's a rough outline of steps to take in order to avoid becoming a redish brown pizza underneath?

To post pictures when you create a New post or are in
the ..reply.. window scroll down a bit you will see
..Upload Photos/VideosPictures.. Right below that is a
button to click to post pictures. On my iPhone it is
called ..Choose files.. on a PC it is some other name.
That button will allow you to browse ..or find, go to the
files where your photos are stored. Then select the
picture you want to post. As you found they cannot be
pasted into the text area as a file. As far as splitting the
tractor you need a splitting stand to do it safely. Do
some web searching to see examples. It would
probably be very helpful if you found someone who
has done this type of thing to look over your project to
give you some advice on how to proceed.

Thanks, tried that last time it wasn't there. The split is done BTW, engine already stripped & eyeballed, setting up to send to shop for a crank [b:f82a80de00]wellness-stay[/b:f82a80de00] and maybe block too for same.

Engine parts are back from shop; block, crank, cam all aces but I drew a deuce with the cylinders and heads, essentially all chinese and scrapped. As far as I've been able to piece together, the owner had an in-frame done and that's when th echinese jugs, head and pistons got into the act. But then in addition to substandard parts got into a massive oil-leak, possibly lengthy low (20 psi) oil-pressure, and severe overheat situation because the cylinder fins were coivered in thick leaked goo. Really bad maintenance was definitely a cause but I will not badmouth the man who for all I know may have been a poor farmer with his back to the wall. Anyway, the build is under way...
